The Bears Den Pre School has been established for 30 years, although not always known by this name. Having always been owned and managed by the army until now, the Pre School was bought by the 2 existing managers, Mrs Anne Nesbitt and Mrs Helen Mold in September 2008. Both ladies have been with the Pre School for many years.

We are a small 40 place nursery based in Venning Barracks, Donnington, Telford. Entrance to the Pre-School is through the main gate which is manned by army personnel at all times, thus providing a very secure and safe environment for your children. There is only one entrance door into the Pre School which is locked and coded and can only be accessed by Pre School staff.

We believe in equality of opportunity for all children and their families. We welcome children between the ages of 2 years - 4 years, 8 months. We have 3 separate classrooms for the following approximate ages:

• Honey Bears:  2 years - 2 years, 6 months
• Polar Bears:    2 years, 6 months - 3 years 6 months
• Brown Bears:  3 years, 6 months - 4 years, 8 months

This is a guide only as we understand that children develop at different stages. Therefore, your child will be placed into whichever room is suited to their individual needs and capabilities, as discussed with you.

We offer a healthy, nutritious, mid-morning drink and snack everyday, we do also offer a lunch club facility on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. At a small additional cost, children are able to bring their own packed lunch from home to enjoy in the company of their friends. We do encourage a healthy eating policy within our Pre School.
